Hi! I’m Sudeep.
I’m a data-scientist / machine learning engineer / physicist and full-time dad to my awesome twins. I currently work at an awesome startup in Durham, NC, developing machine-learning algorithms and writing software for a variety of application spaces. In another life, I had grand plans to be an active blogger resulting in this.
7+ Years later, I decided to start this blog to document the cool things I learn and do. I’m a hacker at heart who loves to build things with code. ‘Into the Void’ seems like an apt descriptor of my never-ending journey to be a better software developer and data scientist than the guy I was last year.

I’ll leave you with a couple of humorous quotes that always crack me up:
Some people, when confronted with a problem, think ‘I know, I’ll use regular expressions.’ Now they have two problems.
Debugging is twice as hard as writing the code in the first place. Therefore, if you write the code as cleverly as possible, you are, by definition, not smart enough to debug it
– Brian Kernighan and P.J. Plauger, The Elements of Programming Style
The problem with object-oriented languages is they’ve got all this implicit environment that they carry around with them. You wanted a banana but what you got was a gorilla holding the banana and the entire jungle
– Joe Armstrong, interviewed in Coders at Work
